教學與研究概述
我在英國Essex大學政治系求學階段所受的訓練，主要是結合後結構主義與後馬克思主義的基進民主理論。由於我的博士論文探討的是1980年代中期到1990年中期臺灣的社會運動與民主化的困境，也因此，在上述的理論訓練之外，我也涉獵了民族主義、民主化、社會運動、女性主義與酷兒政治等研究領域。
完成博士學位到2015年前後，我的教學、研究與寫作聚焦於政治行動的可能性條件與政治主體化，以及生命政治的理論探討；前者以Laclau、Althusser、Balibar與Ranciere等人的作品為主，後者以Foucault與Agamben的思想為核心。
晚近幾年的教學與研究，則是結合過去理論研究積累的問題意識與歷史研究，以邊界與遷移為軸，探討東亞與東南亞社會的殖民與冷戰纏結的歷史過程及其後遺。
